Frances Jaye
Founder/DJ at Neo Soul Cafe
Frances premiered as an on-air personality for mainstream radio, in Dallas Texas, in the 90’s. She managed a career with major local stations KNON 89.3, KRNB 105.7, and KOAI the Oases, 107.5 for 10 years. In 2002 Frances Jaye turned her passion into a reality by launching online radio station ‘The NeoSoul Cafe’.
The station features emerging soul arts, exclusive interviews, event and festival opportunities for fellow lovers of music, and occasional giveaways. Since the inception of the NeoSoulCafe Frances has pioneered a romantically unique genre of emerging soul music, otherwise muted by the music industry. Her unique presence is attributed to her dedicated search for budding new artists and classic soulful sounds. For this reason, she quickly developed a global following– opening the door for Frances to become an acclaimed national presence and travel extensively as a featured DJ.
“Neo Soul Café has been very important to me and my success to not only the Texas area but the world in general. What [Frances] built through the years has been part of the Foundation of independent music. Neo Soul Café takes the time to learn who the artists are, and then teach it to the masses.”
